a repro canopy should slide right in, as long as its made right. the original canopies have 2 tabs which I believe only held the canopy in place by pressure.

also, it easier if you insert one tab, then the other, instead of both at the same time. and if you ever want to remove the glass, for some reason, it comes out easier if you flip the car over...
